BMW CHINA CNY CAMPAIGN

As the year of the tiger approaches Real Good Studio asked us to collaborate with a ton of other amazing artists to work on the Chinese New Year campaign for BMW China.

Combining the image of the tiger with the power  of the BMW car in a fun and playful manner. Three concepts were chosen to develop further.

The first features the tiger swinging around in a toy car surrounded by an overromanticized nature scene. Smoothly waving to the viewer as to welcome them to the new year. As for the second concept we’ve got a connected string between the tiger and a little car. Giving a little “catdog” moment with the tiger chasing after the car in an endless loop. Lastly is the tiger itself dancing with full confidence. This dance was created with a motion capture suit and the recorded data cleaned up to fit the tiger’s rig and body frame. The last concept was eventually chosen for the final cut of the ad.
